Merry Christmas or should I say have a happy holiday. Some people think its not politically correct to say merry Christmas any more because some people don't celebrate Christmas. No this is not a joke, people are scared to say merry Christmas because they don't want to offend anyone.
Saying merry Christmas could offend somebody. Some people celebrate different holidays that we don't, they don't make us celebrate them do they? So why should we make them. Allot of people don't say merry Christmas but it's for the good of people that don't celebrate it.
On the other side of the debate, people don't care and say merry Christmas! Why should they not be joyful during their holiday. So people are going to stop saying happy Easter or have a nice new year. It's not fair to not be able to say, " Happy New Year! and merry Christmas!." The fact is that although our country is changing it was founded on christian beliefs and the first documents of our nation were full of quotes from the bible. That is why for decades we were saying merry Christmas. I don't think anyone is trying to offend anybody when they say Merry Christmas, they're just happy during that holiday.
Being politically correct might not always be personally correct...
Isaac, good job! I liked how you wrote the title, Politically correct, not like a bad and just a simple title. Also you wrote your sentences in a good nice way. Just one thing, I would say,you should add an example or 2. Anyways I liked your post and it was on topic, so far so good.Continue your work and always do your best. Okay!
